To close out today's E3 2019 Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that Banjo-Kazooie is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC fighter later this year.

Even though the character is owned by Microsoft, clearly, the company gave Nintendo the green light to use the classic N64 character in Smash Ultimate. In the storied history of the Super Smash Bros. series, Banjo-Kazooie is also the first-ever western representative to join the game's roster. They couldn't have made a better choice to break that mold, in my opinion.

Alongside a reveal trailer for the DLC fighter which showed the duo in action, it was also confirmed that Banjo-Kazooie is set to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at some point later this fall. This will come after the addition of the heroes from Dragon Quest, which are set to be added to the game this summer.

If you want to check out Banjo's reveal trailer, you can find it below. Personally, this is my favorite moment of E3 2019 and I could not be more happy writing this up. Thank you, Nintendo.
