Earlier this week, we reported that Banner Saga 3 had reached its Kickstarter goal of $200,000 in only six days, as well as revealed the game's first stretch goal. Today, developer Stoic revealed the campaign's second and third goals.

The second stretch goal, which will be implemented into the game if the campaign surpasses $300,000 in funding, will add an additional mode called, Survival Mode.

According to the Kickstarter page, Survival Mode will test your tactical mettle in a series of escalating battles. In it, you will choose six heroes from over 40 plus Banner Saga heroes, and then be pitted against a plethora of battle hardened enemies. With each victory, you will earn renown and an items. As you go you will be able to unlock other heroes to replace those who fall in battle, and upgrade all the veterans who stay alive.

The below stretch goal has a small SPOILER about one of the characters in Banner Saga 2.

The third stretch goal, which will be implemented into the game if the campaign surpasses $350,000 in funding, will feature the return of Ubin, who departs from your banner during the second game to head south. The goal reads:

"Will Ubin return from his quest into the southren grasslands of Dalalond?"

"Will he fall with no skald to mark his passing or return triumphant to fight, shoulder to shoulder, as a Hero under your banner?

"His fate is in your hands!"

Notably, when one backer asked if Ubin will be totally AWOL or just not playable if the game doesn't hit the $350,000 goal, Stoic replied that it couldn't "say at this point," and that it's a safer bet to make sure the campaign hits the goal to get him back."

Banner Saga 3 currently has no release date, and as of right now the game is only listed for PC and Mac.  However, Stoic has said it is planning to bring the game to other platforms as well, which is no surprise, as the last two also released on Xbox One, PS4, and mobile devices.
