Limited Run Games has recently announced the limited physical PS Vita and PS4 editions of Bard’s Gold will go on sale on July 7, 2017. A limited amount of only 2,800 copies per platform will be available at 10 AM Eastern Time only at Limited Run Games.

Limited Run Games is responsible for making physical versions of PS4 and PS Vita games. They focus on bringing games that were previously only available in a digital format to a physical medium. Their main focus is to supply the hardcore consumers with physical versions of digital only games.

The only caveat is each game is released in only limited quantities, meaning once it’s sold out you will no longer be able to buy the physical edition.

Bard’s Gold is a methodical action-platformer with light RPG elements inspired by late ’80s and early ’90s classics such as Rick Dangerous, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Rainbow Islands, among other games from that era. In order to progress through the game, the player has to find the key within each level and get to through a door, guarded by an assortment of monstrosities.

The game features more than 100 hand-crafted levels which are picked randomly for each playthrough. A permanent upgrade system makes each and every one of your sessions count.

Bard’s Gold is already out on the PS4 and PS Vita as a cross-buy title. Limited Run Games has remained busy, recently announcing a physical version of Lawbreakers for PS4 and PC, and featured a massive E3 2017 reel featuring Jotun, Va-11 Hall-A, Kero Blaster, Momodora and much more.
