Batman: Arkham Origin’s Online Services Retiring December 4

The online services for Batman: Arkham Origins will be retired on December 4, 2016. While the single player portion of the game will still be accessible, the multiplayer portion will not.

We thank those that have joined us to battle over the last 3 years.

The notice appeared on the Steam description for Arkham Origins, as well as the game’s online forum. The online mode featured 3v3v2 gameplay where two players assume the roles of Batman and Robin fighting goons from Joker or Bane’s gang.

New Online Mode: Play online with friends and foes in 3v3v2 gameplay that blends traditional Arkham gameplay with third-person shooter mechanics. Hunt as Batman or Robin against the most challenging opponents yet – friends and other gamers online – or take a walk on the dark side as a Super-Villain Elite and be part of The Joker or Bane’s gang. Gamers playing as a Super-Villain Elite will also have a chance to seize control of either The Joker or Bane for a limited amount of time.
