Warner Bros. has released a new patch for Batman: Return to Arkham that adds PS4 Pro support.

The announcement was made via a forum post, where the WB community manager writes that the update adds visual upgrades -- though, said upgrades were not specified -- as well as a variety of performance and stability improvements.

The following brief, and not very detailed, list of improvements was provided:

  • Performance / hitching issues have been improved for a more smooth and consistent framerate.
  • Intermittent crashing issues have been addressed to provide improved gameplay stability.

Over on Reddit there is conflicting results about the new patch, with some users claiming the update improved the game, while others claim it actually made it run worse. You can read the post for yourself here.

Developed by Virtuous, Return to Arkham came out back in October for PS4 and Xbox One. Asking for $50 dollars, the package came with updated versions of last-generation Batman games: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City (and both games' DLC).

In the DualShockers review, we scored the package of two games a 6.5, pointing out the glaring lack of polish.
