Matrix Awakens tech demo in Unreal Engine 5 has a great setting for most of the superhero movies or video games that we have watched or played so far, especially for Batman and Gotham City!

Since the launch of Unreal Engine 5 on PC, we have seen many creative projects from modders and indie developers, with most of them centering around the engine's Matrix Awakens tech demo, which features a pretty huge city with dynamic day and night cycle and a breathing society.

This incredible setting could be ideal for many types of open-world games, especially the ones centering around a crowded city with so many skyscrapers. Previously, we have spotted some modders adding Superman and Spider-Man to this world, showing the capabilities of Epic Games' Megacity in hosting a big-budget superhero video game.

Matrix Awakens' Megacity Could Be a Beautiful Gotham for a Batman Game

Recently, a Youtuber, JSFILMZ, has shared some footage from their new project, which brings Batman to Matrix Awakens tech demo. Unlike the previous Spider-Man and Superman demos that would only allow players to roam around the city, Batman's mod already has some enemies as well as a combat system.

Unfortunately, the demo doesn't seem to include any special gadgets from Batman such as his Batclaw or even the Batarang. Besides, you can find any way to fly with your Batman character in this demo, which might make it a little bit boring.

However, this is not supposed to be a full Batman experience. the visuals for Batman's character model are already eye-catching, especially his movement and cap animations that are incredibly detailed!

Currently, this is a work-in-progress mod and it might receive even more mechanics and features when it's ready to launch. There is no release date for this mod at the moment.
