Issue #7 Plot

Batman: Urban legends #7 will be set in Neo-Gotham depicting the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder in the Batcave. Terry must step in as Wane’s final protégé to prowl the streets of Neo-Gotham to find out who is behind the Caped Crusader’s death. Cassandra Cain continues to be pursued by the Magistrate in Future State and a new villain will be revealed as the Dark Knight attempts to protect the deteriorating city from being overrun by a new gang.

The character of Terry McGinnis, created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm in 1999, was first introduced in the DC Animated Universe series Batman Beyond, which acted as a successor to Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures set four years in the future. Taking place in a futuristic Gotham City, Batman Beyond narrates the passing of the Dark Knight mantle from a retired Bruce Wayne to Terry. The introduction of the cyberpunk theme against Batman lore got mixed reviews after it debuted, but it has since managed to pull a cult following since its debut in 1999.
