New Batman Game from WB Montreal to Finally be Revealed Next Week

We're finally scheduled to see WB Games Montreal's latest Batman title next Saturday during DC's FanDome event.

August 14, 2020

It has been a very long time coming, but after nearly a year’s worth of teases, it is finally confirmed that WB Games Montreal’s upcoming Batman game will be revealed next week.

Alongside announcing the date and time for when Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game to be revealed today, DC also announced that WB Games Montreal will officially have its own panel during the DC FanDome event as well. The stream will take place on Saturday, August 22 at 1:30pm EDT/10:30am PDT and will be one of the first experiences to transpire for FanDome as a whole.

For now, details on the panel itself are sparse, with the official description merely stating, “Gamers! You won’t want to miss this first look at an exciting new game, and Q&A with its developers.” As for the length of the showing from WB Games Montreal, it is said to last 20 minutes.

It’s important to note that Batman specifically isn’t mentioned anywhere in this panel description, however. That being said, the studio itself has been teasing for the past year that its next project will very clearly involve The Dark Knight. Based on rumors and what we’ve been shown so far, the Court of Owls is said to be involved in the game in some manner. WB Montreal kicked off 2020 by teasing its next game early in the year, but a few months later, it asked fans to please be patient until it could share more.

The lead-up to this new Batman game has truly been a bizarre one in many ways, but at least WB Games will now finally be breaking its silence. We’ll have all of the latest details for you on this new Batman title next week once it’s formally announced.
