Get ready to make some new friends Facebook’ers (is that word in the dictionary yet?), it seems that Blizzard Entertainment has announced a deal to integrate with Facebook starting with players who have StarCraft(R) II: Wings of Liberty(TM) (I know, I can’t believe that it’s finally coming out too). According to the press release from Blizzard, Blizzard gamers who have Facebook accounts will be able to add those same friends to their friends list, with a few easy steps. Details of how the integration is going to work has not been released, but the first steps will be tested via players who are currently doing the StarCraft(R) II: Wings of Liberty(TM) beta testing.

So a big question is, how far away are be before all of our acquaintances on World of WarCraft are our Facebook friends, and how many of our Facebook friends will start to become Blizzard gamers. I’m sure that’s in the plans, but for now I can’t wait to pwn people on StarCraft and have that automatically change my status update!
