Today Media Create released its Top 50 and detailed analysis for last week’s game sales in Japan, and it includes some interesting details on the performance of Battlefield 1 in the country.

First of all, we get the top 50, expanding the top 20 released on Wednesday. Even the Xbox One version of the game managed to make the list, ranking in 32nd place. This means that it joins the handful of Xbox One games that actually made the ranking. Unfortunately the low installed base is still felt, as the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 4 actually managed to rank 17th.

We also get an interesting analysis on the historical performance of the PlayStation version of the game.

The PS4 version of Battlefield 1 sold 113,081 copies, ranking in first place. By comparison, Battlefield Hardline sold about 69,000 copies on PS4 and 29,000 on PS3 in its debut week. Battlefield 4‘s first week sales were 121,699 on PS3 (the PS4 version launched several months later).  As a result, Media Create argues that the local effect of the lack of a PS3 version for the game is minor, and concludes that many fans of the series already moved on to the PS4.

So much for “FPS games don’t sell in Japan?”
