All Battlefield 1 players will be receiving the game's first DLC map, Giant's Shadow, free of charge today. Taking place at the Battle of the Selle, gameplay features everything one has come to expect of the World War I shooter, including trains, airplanes, and tanks.

Its name drawing influence from a massive fallen airship that serves as a backdrop to the chaos at hand, Giant's Shadow launched earlier this month of players who brought the game's season pass. For those that don't know, purchasing the pass grants access to all of the game's maps two weeks early.

Details on the game's upcoming expansion, They Shall Not Pass, were shared as well, alongside a bevy of new concept images. Releasing in March 2017, it'll feature all-new maps, new weapons, and a new playable French Army faction.

The developer detailed that it's really put a lot of thought as to what to include into the new content, giving a history lesson as to what warring factions experienced in the all-out war playing out at the Battle of Verdun, and how this inspired it to capture the fighting in all of its brutality.

Battlefield 1 is DICE's biggest launch in history, with publisher Electronic Arts being "very pleased" about it. It's available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
