This isn't good!

April 24, 2022

A Battlefield 2042 dataminer has managed to discover some new images and information related to the in-game store of the game in Patch 4.0, meaning the game might receive an update for the monetization system earlier than any new playable content!

Despite all the exciting trailers, Battlefield 2042 wasn’t the game that fans were anticipating. From the day it launched, the game received harshly negative feedback from the community, and it doesn’t seem any better over 5 months after launch.

Thus far, Battlefield 2042 has received four major updates, and while the developers have managed to address some of the issues, fans still don’t seem satisfied with the game’s current state.

Battlefield 2042 has received no new playable content in five months, and according to developers, there won’t be anything new until Summer this year. However, it seems like the in-game store and Battle Pass could arrive earlier than new content to the game!

Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass and Store Images Spotted by Dataminers in the Recent Patch

Temporyal, a dataminer on Twitter, recently shared an image from the new in-game surface of the store in Battlefield 2042. According to the dataminer, this image has been discovered inside the files that were added to the game with Update 4.0.

It’s yet to be seen when DICE is supposed to announce the opening of the in-game store in Battlefield 2042, but since the game has already received a bunch of related files, we can assume that the developers are going to implement Battle Pass and in-game store earlier than delivering any new content for gamers.

Battlefield 2042 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game has not been added to the EA Play subscription service yet.
