We can finally say it, Battlefield 2042 is real and fans around the world will finally get to witness the gameplay reveal today (June 13) at the Xbox E3 Showcase.

It's been a long road full of leaks, rumours, and speculation surrounding the new Battlefield title. The anticipated shooter was revealed to the world on June 9 in one of the most epic trailers ever released.

The reveal trailer consisted of only game engine footage, but the wait is finally over as a full gameplay reveal is coming later today.

Battlefield 2042

The next generation of all-out warfare is coming. Battlefield 2042 will arrive on October 22nd, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, and PC.

For those purchasing Battlefield 2042 on next-generation consoles such as the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, you'll get to experience massive 128 player battles on large-scale maps.

There will also be a full line-up of cutting-edge weapons, vehicles, jets, helis, and all-new equipment inspired by the near-future setting of Battlefield 2042. One of the biggest weapons in 2042 will be the Ranger, a new robotic dog built for battle. Fans can expect to see plenty of new weapons in use during the upcoming gameplay reveal.

DICE, the developers behind Battlefield 2042, have also announced an open beta will be arriving for those that pre-order the upcoming shooter. An official date for the beta has yet to be announced.

Gameplay Reveal - Start Time

The official gameplay reveal for Battlefield 2042 will take place at the Xbox E3 Showcase which begins at 6PM BST / 10AM PT / 1PM ET.

Xbox & Bethesda have got a large roster of games expected to appear at the showcase, so there's no way to know exactly what time the gameplay reveal of Battlefield 2042 will take place.

Xbox have confirmed that the showcase will be around 90 minutes long.
