A Polish website spotted a Game Pass badge next to the Battlefield 2042 box art on Microsoft Store, which could hint at the game's arrival on the service in the near future.

Battlefield 2042 experienced a rough launch in November, which became even worse with the messy support from the developers. while the game should have received new playable content so far, the developers delayed all post-launch content plans until Summer 2022, dedicating the current window to fixing the game's numerous issues and missing features.

However, the main reason that Battlefield 2042 became an obvious failure for Electronic Arts in the last few months was the fact that players left the game and found other replacements.

It's been a long time since Battlefield 2042 has not appeared among the top 100 Steam games with the most concurrent players. This means the game even struggles to reach 10K concurrent players, while Battlefield V still has over 15K concurrent players almost every day.

Battlefield 2042 Spotted With a Game Pass Badge on Polish Version of Xbox Store

In such a critical situation, adding Battlefield 2042 to the subscription services like EA Play and Xbox Game Pass might be able to revive the game somehow.

It was already expected that EA launch Battlefield 2042 on EA Play sooner than expected, but a Game Pass badge next to the game's box art on the Polish version of the Xbox Store probably means that the latest entry of the Battlefield franchise could arrive on Xbox Game Pass and EA Play as soon as next month. Aside from Battlefield 2042, it is also expected that EA launches FIFA 22 on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass, as the developers are supposed to give it away for free for all PS Plus subscribers on PlayStation.

Battlefield 2042 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
