According to Battlefield 2042 data miner Temporyal, the next specialist joining the roster in Season 4 is Camila Blasco, a Spaniard with the ability to trick motion-based gadgets and use a jammer device to temporarily block spotting devices and lock-outs. Blasco will be classed as a 'recon' specialist under the new class system. As the mined data reveals, Blasco's passive ability allows her to avoid triggering motion-based gadgets such as well as Boris' sentry gun. Her main gadget is the X6-Infiltration Device, which sounds like a deployable jammer that creates a dead zone, inside which the enemy's spotting devices are disabled and their other gadgets are marked as long as they are destroyed.

Earlier last month, Temporyal revealed details about Season 4's new map, claiming that it's a half-constructed facility in South Africa with over ten points of interest.

Temporyal believes Blasco will be the final specialist added to Battlefield 2042. He expects the new season to start on February 28.

DICE recently launched update 3.2, bringing back the old-school class-based system to Battlefield 2042 over a year after its launch. As a result, specialists have been divided into four classes. Rather than limiting weapon choice, DICE chose to apply additional perks to specialists of certain classes to encourage certain play styles.

Battlefield 2042 will still be receiving content this year despite a new installment in the series already being in development. A new studio at EA headed by Marcus Lehto is working on a story-driven single-player campaign for the next Battlefield title.
