EA has finally come up with a piece of news for Battlefield 2042 long-awaited Season 1. In an announcement via Twitter, Battlefield 2042 Season 1 is officially delayed until Summer 2022. According to the speculations over the internet, Season 1 was supposed to go live by March this year.

To address the people regarding the delay in the release of Battlefield 2042 Season 1, the developers have posted a message on the official website. It says the DICE team is working relentlessly on furthering developing and addressing the issues faced by the players till now. 

On top of that, players can expect some important updates and features that are coming in the next season of Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield 2042 Season One officially delayed until Summer 2022

Players will see an updated and enhanced screen for the Scoreboard. After tons of requests from the community, devs are now including two tables that separate the home team and the enemy. In addition, a K/D scoring and End of Round will also be coming in a future update.

The VOIP is also being improved and the majority of the bugs are removed to provide a rich in-game voice call experience to provide better gameplay opportunities. Lastly, the brand new Player Profile gives a detailed overview of the entire career and shares information on the next challenges that should be completed to advance.

With the release of Battlefield 2042 Season 1, it marks the beginning of the year and in total there will be four seasons that will be released gradually. These upcoming seasons will also accompany, four new weapons and specialists as well.

EA and Dice also acknowledge and thanks to the patience of those players who have already bought the Year 1 Pass. An exclusive bundle that contains a Specialist skin, weapon and vehicle skins, a melee weapon and a Player Card will be sent out to them with the release of the upcoming update.
