As we reported on earlier in the day, Battlefield 5's first major content expansion was scheduled to go live tomorrow but due to unforeseen issues, it seems that will no longer be the case.DICE revealed just hours ago that Chapter 1: Overture, the name of the first free content update for Battlefield 5, has now officially been delayed from its scheduled launch tomorrow. Not many details were given other than that DICE seemed to find an issue with the update at the last minute before pushing it live. Rather than creating potentially even more problems, it was just decided as a whole to push the launch of the update back to a currently undetermined time.Judging from the message that DICE released, it doesn't seem like they anticipate that this delay will be a lengthy one. The developer said they'll follow up with more information tomorrow or as soon as they have anything further to share. Even though it seems likely that Overture will probably still release this week, it's a bad look for Battlefield 5, especially considering the multiplayer-focused shooter has stumbled out of the gate this year in terms of sales. In the meantime, you can read our review of Battlefield 5 if you haven't already done so to see more what we think about the game's live updates of this nature.
