Battlefield 2042 Steam-free weekend is now live and ends in almost two days.

With Battlefield 2042 down the line, Battlefield 5 servers will probably never be as populated as these days at the end of the year.

The announcement of Battlefield 2042 caused many Battlefield fans to get back to the modern era with Battlefield 4 once again. As a result, Electronic Arts decided to add some new servers for Battlefield 4 to let players have fun with smooth matchmaking.

However, this has probably resulted in a reduction in the number of players in Battlefield 5, which could probably get fixed by the ongoing free weekend that has just started on Steam.

Battlefield 5 Free Weekend End Time

Battlefield 5 will be available for free as of now, August 28, until Saturday, August 29. The free weekend ends at 10 am PT/1 pm ET/5 pm GMT. Download it from here.

During this free session, you will have access to all sections of the game, including the multiplayer modes and single-player campaign. All your progress during the free weekend will be saved and carried over to the full game if you purchase it.

The game is currently available on Steam with 90% off, which is a pretty decent offer for those who have not played it at all.

Battlefield 2042 targets a launch later in October this year, but you should take into account a possible delay as well. Back in 2018, Electronic Arts delayed Battlefield 5 for almost a month, and yet the game launched without a few anticipated modes.

Similarly, Battlefield 2042 will also receive a number of its game modes during the post-launch phase. This includes the already popular Portal mode as well.

Battlefield 5 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. You can play it for free if you have an active EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription on your platform.
