Have you tried playing EA’s free Battlefield Heroes and found it not meeting your free to play needs? Well fear not! EA is going to be making yet another free online game for all to enjoy which is called…wait for it…Battlefield Free2Play. Based on two other Battlefield‘s before it, Battlefield 2 and Bad Company, Free2Play will be a 32-player shooter where players get the chance to play on the most popular maps from earlier titles. Currently the game is scheduled to go into open beta next month, and if all goes according to plan a full on release will be had in the Spring. In a statement about the upcoming game, Senior Producer, James Salt had this to say,

“We broke new ground in 2009 with the launch of Battlefield Heroes; a game that has 6M registered players worldwide…Now we are complementing that arcade shooter with a core, realistic Battlefield shooter experience that fans have been clamoring for. Battlefield Play4Free is for serious shooter fans who are looking for a premium – but free – experience that rivals top console titles.”

Some of my favorite games include Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, Duke Nukem 3D, Final Fantasy 6, Killer7 and both the Devil May Cry and Resident Evil series.
