Battlefield: Hardline Seven Minute Long Gameplay Trailer Leaked, Includes Tons of Info on the Game

Looks like the cat is out of the bag, and a seven minute long gameplay trailer for the upcoming police-themed Battlefield: Hardline by Visceral Games has been leaked way before its scheduled unveiling at E3.

What’s even more interesting is that the trailer seems to be running on PS4 and includes a whole lot of information on the game. It also shows a ton of gameplay, both of the four multiplayer  modes and of the narrative-driven single player campaign named Omaha (which could be a working title).

The multiplayer modes will be Heist, where criminals try execute a big robbery while the cops attempt to stop them. In Rescue the police will attempt to pull out of trouble a group of hostages during a heist gone wrong. Hotwire will feature big vehicle chases over large maps, while  Blood Money will involve gangs killing each other over a big pile of cold hard cash.

The game will also feature extensive environmental destruction and Levolution gameplay in several of its levels. Investigative gameplay and sneaking will be included, creating a very different experience compared to previous Battlefield games.

Of course a whole lot of vehicle gameplay is also part of the menu. It wouldn’t be a Battlefield game without that.

You can check it out below, while you should keep in mind that it seems to be early alpha footage, so the graphics will probably improve considerably before release.

Update: the video has been replace with an alternate version since the original was taken down. If you prefer, you can also download it here and check out a batch of screen captures at the bottom of the post, just in case.

Update 2: Visceral Games General Manager mentioned that the video is six months old, so the game probably looks a lot better by now:

So yeah, that happened. Not how we wanted to unveil Hardline, but all good. Didn’t want to wait til E3 anyway, so let’s talk about it…

Video that’s out there was for an internal meeting. It’s 6 months old now and team has been cranking since then. See the real deal at E3.

Excited to see so much buzz for the old footage. Love it. Can’t wait to show you how much further the team has taken things.

We’re pouring everything we’ve got into this & stoked to share details on June 9 – maybe even a little more before then if you want it.
