Battlefield Hardline May Get Planes Post Launch; EA’s “Rabid Squirrels” Taking Down Early Livestreams

Battlefield Hardline will be getting its multiplayer beta tomorrow, but that hasn’t stopped some people from getting their hands on the game early.

One stream in particular that got quite a bit of attention from eager players looking to get an early peek at what’s to come in the beta was taken offline pretty sharpish, though not at the demand of Visceral Games but instead at the request of their “rabid squirrel” lawyers.

Damn those rabid squirrels and their fancy law degrees… Though it’s not all bad news as the developer has also teased about post-launch updates. Replying to a fans question as to whether Battlefield Hardline will get planes at some point, the Californian studio teased that if any post-launch download content fitted the theme where a plane would make sense, then they may be added.

I don’t know about you, but for me planes just don’t seem fitting with what Battlefield Hardline is all about. However, helicopters would be awesome, more to the point – police helicopters.

You can play the beta starting tomorrow ahead of the game’s release on March 17th in North America and March 19th in the UK and Europe.

Battlefield Hardline will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
