Battlefield: Hardline's release is approaching quickly and with the game's open beta set to begin tomorrow, there is no better time than now to reveal the PC system requirements for the final version.
Over on EA's Origin Insider, the company has published the recommended and minimum specs to play Hardline smoothly on your gaming PC. Below are the specs that were revealed:
Recommended:
OS: WINDOWS 8 64-BIT (with KB971512 Update)
CPU: INTEL QUAD-CORE CPU, AMD SIX-CORE CPU
MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
GRAPHICS CARD: AMD Radeon R9 290, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
GRAPHICS MEMORY: 3 GB
HARD DRIVE: 60 GB
DIRECTX 11
Minimum:
OS: WINDOWS VISTA SP2 64-BIT (with KB971512 Update)
PROCESSOR: Athlon II/Phenom II 2.8 GHz, Intel Core i3/i5 2.4GHz
MEMORY: 4 GB RAM
GRAPHICS CARD: ATI Radeon HD 5770 (1 GB), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (896 MB)
HARD DRIVE: 60 GB
DIRECTX 11
Not too shabby, considering that in the past six months system recommendations with over 50 GBs of storage space and quad-core processors have become the norm. If anything, the one spot that sticks out is the recommendation of 8 GBs of RAM, a number that has been around 6 GB or less for newer titles such as Evolve. I doubt the game will utilize a full 8 GBs, but it's something I'm afraid I might need to contend with in the next few years.
Battlefield: Hardline is set to release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on March 17th, 2015.
