Battlefield: Hardline Trailer Shows Off New Hotwire Game Mode

EA has announced a new game mode for the upcoming cops vs criminals Battlefield: Hardline today, complete with a thrilling new trailer.

The new game mode is called Hotwire, and involves criminals trying to steal several marked cars while the police try to repossess them. This results in variety of high speed chases that look like something out of The Fast and the Furious movies, but with a whole lot more guns.

High speed chases with vehicles really intrigues me in Battlefield: Hardline, as it actually looks like one of the first game modes that might truly offer something different from the various Battlefield-esque game modes. Riding shotgun while my buddy drives and pelting bullets into the side of a crooks car looks intense. If there is extra layers of strategy like breaking blockades with armored vehicles like in the end scene of the trailer, we could be on to a really awesome and fun thing that will make Hardline worth looking into.

You can check out the full trailer below. Battlefield: Hardline comes out on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2015.
