The delay in Battlefield Hardline‘s release has come as a relief for developer Visceral Games, giving them longer to polish, creative director Ian Milham has said.
Speaking during a panel, Milham said that the delay shouldn’t be seen as a negative.
[It] is a real blessing, because over time, games are living longer and you only get one chance to come out.
Performance director Bill Johnson, who is influencing the game’s recently unveiled singleplayer story, echoed the sentiment.
We’re really happy about that, to get much more time.
Battlefield Hardline is expected to release in early 2015 on Xbox 360, Xbox One PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC.
