Back in 2016, Tindalos Interactive and Focus Home Interactive partnered to release Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, an RTS game set in the Warhammer 40K universe. Today, the developer and publisher announced that they are working together yet again, and revealed Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, which will hit PC later this year.

According to the game's developers Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 builds upon the groundwork that the original game set. That's one of the reasons why the game will include all twelve factions from the original game and its expansion. This includes the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and Tyranids.

The campaigns in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 will be based on recent story developments in the Warhammer 40K universe, like the Gathering Storm and the Thirteenth Black Crusade. On the gameplay side of things, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 will include larger battles with tweaked and refined gameplay, a smoother and more fleshed out online mode and tons of different customization options for players to choose from.

That being said, the game's reveal trailer is a purely cinematic one that sets up the scope and tone of the game. You can check it out below. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is planned to release exclusively on PC sometime in 2018.
