Back in 2016, Rebellion Developments released Battlezone on PS4 (for PlayStation VR), before bringing it to PC (via HTC Vive and Oculus Rift) last year. Today, the developer revealed Battlezone: Gold Edition, which bundles all the game's DLC together, drops the VR requirement, and brings the experience to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch for the first time.

Battlezone: Gold Edition is expected to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 1, while the Nintendo Switch version of the game will release sometime this Summer. As I mentioned before, the game will include all of the DLC released for Battlezone, which means players will have a full array of bobble-heads, skins, and horns at their disposal. This version of the game will also include Classic Mode, which is styled after the original arcade version of Battlezone from the 1980s.

According to Rebellion, VR and non-VR players will also be able to play together in co-op; there is no mention of cross-platform play. That being said, if you already own Battlezone, all of the Battlezone: Gold Edition enhancements will come to you via a free update.
