Nintendo has released a short new Bayonetta 2 trailer on their official YouTube channel.

The trailer features some minor plot points from the second title as well as gameplay showing Bayonetta herself in action against some large enemies at 60 frames per second (with cutscenes apparently running at 30). You can check out the trailer for yourself down below.

If you haven't been keeping up with the titles you can check out some details about the new and returning features that'll be included with the Switch version of Bayonetta 2. Amiibo support, local multiplayer, and touch controls are all features that'll be included.

If you're not familiar with the series, the titles follow Bayonetta after she awakens from a slumber with insomnia. She's a witch who uses shapeshifting as well as firearms to deal with her enemies. She also has special magic abilities that allow her to use her hair as a weapon and can summon demons. The series is well known for its tight controls, quirky protagonist, and unconventional combat. Bayonetta is developed by Platinum Games, and they revealed the third entry in the series late last year at The Game Awards.

Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 will release simultaneously exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on February 16. If you buy a physical copy of Bayonetta 2, the game will come packaged with a digital download code for the first title. You can buy the games on the eShop separately if you'd like as well.
