Hideki Kamiya, creator and director of Bayonetta, pledged to never let the series end during a recent interview with IGN Japan. He also asks fans to believe in this sentiment, and that he will never do anything to betray them.

Kamiya feels it is impossible for the series to end in his heart, and that's because he always has more stories he wants to tell, not even as numbered titles only but also through spin-off games. In fact, he already has a game idea for one of Bayonetta's closest friends Jeanne in which she plays the role of a superhero called "Cutie J", and also wants to extend the main series until the ninth entry. That said, he reassures fans that he is not currently creating games exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console – just like his recently announced title – and he teases more AAA unannounced projects coming from Platinum Games to platforms other than Nintendo's.

The director reflects as well on the 15-year history of Bayonetta, and the experience he acquired after developing Bayonetta 3; a game that caused a rift between him and many fans because of narrative direction. Becoming involved with the IP for such a long time allowed him to protect the "world view" of Bayonetta in his own way, which is something he is thankful for. He loves Cereza and the characters he has raised a lot and makes it clear he will not give up on the story because of creative differences between him and the fans because he feels creators must create games that reflect their own beliefs and convictions, and not give in to the majority's opinions about what is wrong or right.

When asked about his mysterious upcoming Project G.G., he said he had big ambitions for it, and aims to release it on all platforms. The project is going to be a lot bigger than The Wonderful 101: Remastered" or "Sol Cresta"", and for that reason, his company is currently working double time to increase the number of staff and human resources. There are about 300 people currently at Platinum Games, the official site lists 313 employees –but he wants the number to be 500 by 2025, and perhaps even over 1,000 in the future.
