Bayonetta Hits 100k Copies on Steam in Just One Week

Back on April 11th publisher Sega and developer PlatinumGames stealth-released last-generation classic, Bayonetta, onto PC via Steam. And just a week later the game has already hit 100,000 copies on Steam, according to Steam Spy, which is Steam stats service based on Web API provided by Valve.

To be more specific, at the time of writing, the game has sold more than 102,120 copies, and had a peak concurrent player count yesterday of 3,233.

For those that don’t know: Bayonetta is a third-person action game that originally released for Xbox 360 and PS3 in Japan back in October of 2009. It came to North America and Europe just a few months later in January 201o, before eventually coming to Wii U, released alongside its sequel Bayonetta 2, in September 2014. The game is widely considered one of the best games of last generation.
