While video game adaptations are becoming more and more frequent, it's hard to imagine that many will be more popular than the upcoming HBO The Last of Us series.

Announced last year, the series will focus on Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, and Ellie, who will be played by Bella Ramsey.

The show is set to "expand on" and "enhance" the existing media and will be in good hands, with Chernobyl's Craig Mazin as the showrunner and Neil Druckmann as the show's executive producer.

While we know the show has now wrapped filming, very few details have actually come to light thus far, leaving a lot to fans imaginations.

Thankfully, our new Ellie, Bella Ramsey, has helped to get fans excited by channelling her role in a brand new

" rel="nofollow">Instagram post.

The post, actually filmed back in 2019, shows Ramsey playing a guitar and singing a song that she wrote for the Netflix series Hilda, in which she voices the main character.

Seeing Ramsey pick up a guitar will certainly pull on the heartstrings of fans of The Last of Us Part 2, as during one of the game's most memorable scenes Ellie plays Pearl Jam's Future Days on guitar.

The Instagram post has been flooded by eager The Last of Us fans, drawing similarities to Ramsey and Ellie, many hoping for a Future Days rendition at some point in the future.

The post has also drawn affection from her co-star Pascal and Druckmann himself, with both leaving heart emoji's in the comments.
