1. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero
It would be fair to start the list with the movie that the fans are waiting for most. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the twenty-first Dragon Ball franchise movie overall, and the first one to be produced with 3D animation. Originally, the movie was set for release on April 22nd, 2022, but then the release date shifted to June 11th, 2022. Red Ribbon Army has reformed again after being defeated by Goku in the past, and now they are stronger than before. Now Goku and his teammates have to fight them once again.
2. Minions: The Rise of Gru
One of the most loved animated franchises, Despicable Me is also coming back with another project this year. This movie will be a spin-off of the 2015 Minions movie, prepared for a theatrical release on June 1st, 2022. The second part of the movie will kick off from where the first one ended. 12-year-old Gru desires to join the team of evil villains known as Vicious 6. As he goes for an interview to become their member, things don't work out as planned, and now Gru is their main target.
3. Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank
Also known as Blazing Samurai, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank is a Rob Minkoff movie inspired by the 1974 movie, Blazing Saddles. The Legend of Hank will officially release in the US on July 15th, 2022 by Paramount Pictures. Hank, a timid and feeble dog is always dominated by the others of his kind. Fed up with his poor life, Hank decides to become a samurai under another cat, Jinbo. Meanwhile, another giant cat named Ika Chu is destroying the city whom Hank has to stop.
4. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
Here's another spin-off movie of a great franchise, Shrek. The Last Wish is a sequel to the 2011 movie, Puss in Boots which was a huge success. As the movie is set for a release on December 21st, 2022, there's still a good time left for you to enjoy it. Till then, you can enjoy these upcoming horror movies. Puss has lost eight of his nine lives, and now he must find the Last Wish and get back his precious lives. Antonio Banderas will voice Puss in Boots, while Salma Hayek will voice Kitty Softpaws.
5. Pinnochio
It's time to relive your childhood with the release of Pinnochio, a story based on the 1883 book by Carlo Collodi. Pinnochio is a Walt Disney Pictures project, which makes it an even more awaited animated movie of 2022. It will officially release on Disney+ in September 2022, the exact date is still not out yet. The cast of the movie includes Tom Hanks as Geppetto, Cynthia Erivo as The Blue Fairy, and Luke Evans as The Coachman.
