From the animated series inspired by popular games, manga, movies, and upcoming music albums, here are the best animated shows announced in the Netflix Geeked Week 2022.

The third day of Netflix Geeked Week 2022 came to an end, but it brought some great announcements related to animated TV shows. Arcane fans are a bit disappointed as the release date for the new season was not announced at the event. Instead, a new show by the name Arcane Bridging The Rift is announced, which will walk the fans through how the show came to existence.

If for some reason, you missed the recent event, then we got your back. From the shows renewing with their new season to the brand new announcements, here are all the great animated TV series Netflix will soon be releasing.

Animated Shows Announced In The Netflix Geeked Week 2022

1. The Dragon Prince (Season 4)

If you love the shows with great adventures set up in the fantasy land with mystical creatures, monsters, dragons, and magic, then The Dragon Prince is the best thing you could watch on Netflix. Now, that the show is returning with its fourth season, it’s the perfect time to watch the previous seasons. The show will take you on the journey of two princes who bond with an assassin sent to kill them. They are now on their adventure to bring peace to the world.

2. Entergalactic

Famous American musician and actor Kid Cudi is bringing something musical and full of romance this year. The show is based on the upcoming music album by Kid Cudi by the same name. We got to see the first look of Entergalactic in the recent Netflix Geeked Week event, and it seems to be something fans would love to watch. The story of the show is simple. Two young artists are on their journey to find love in the city.

3. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Most fans didn’t care about any other show but were hoping to hear something about the long-awaited Cyberpunk TV adaptation release. It seems like their wish came true as the show got an official teaser recently. The 10-episode series will follow the story of a street kid struggling to survive in a technologically advanced city. The boy is determined to become an Edgerunner, a mercenary outlaw known as Cyberpunk.

4. Exception

Up next, we have space-related horror, mystery, and sci-fi series coming from Japan. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a trailer for Exception, but a few images are shared with the fans. The show will take you to the future, where humans are living in a new galaxy after they are forced to migrate from the Earth. A new team of spacecraft arrived, with each member having a 3D printer to make the planet compatible with human existence.

5. Moonrise

No trailer, no teaser, not even the images from inside the show; we just have a new poster for the upcoming show, Moonrise. But it’s still worth adding to the list of best animated shows announced in the Netflix Geeked Week because it is animated by none other than Wit Studio. The anime will follow the life of a man who joins a group to attack the rebels on the moon. Soon he finds out that one of his dearest friends has become his enemy.

6. Uncle From Another World

Isekai Ojisan, better known as Uncle From Another World, is a manga series by Hotondoshindeiru. The manga is currently running on its 7th volume, and it’s the first time we are getting an anime adaption of the series. After spending seventeen years in a coma, Yosuke Shibazaki finally wakes up. But now, he has returned with magical powers and a love for video games. Takafumi helps his uncle learn about the modern world.

Release date: July 6th, 2022

7. Skull Island

Can you guess what this series is based on? If you guessed the 2017 movie Kong: Skull Island, then you’ve hit the nail on the head. Kong is being animated by Powerhouse Animation studio, known for Castlevania, The Adventures of Kid Danger, and Blood of Zeus. The shipwrecked find themself on a mysterious island, home to gigantic monsters, including the Kong.
