The GO Battle League has become a staple of Pokemon GO over the course of the last year or so.

It adds more of a competitive edge to what is historically a friendly title.

We now head into the second round of the eighth season of the mode, with the Great League and Great League Remix kicking us off once again. Here are the best Pokemon you can choose this time out.

Best Great League Team Choices

Using the list above, here is a bunch of different teams we think could help you to score some big wins:

  • Azumarill(XL)/Stunfisk (Galarian)/Abomasnow (Shadow) – This team covers a lot of bases. Azumarill has been a staple in the Great League for a long time, Stunfisk has really established itself over the last few seasons and Abomasnow offers strong coverage against the abundance of Water-type Pokemon in this league.
  • Medicham (XL)/Swampert/Altaria
  • Deoxys (Defense)/Cresselia/Venusaur
  • Azumarill (XL)/Sableye (XL)/Machamp (Shadow)
  • Diggersby (XL)/Jellicent/Skarmory

By no means are these the five best Great League teams, but they’ve been crafted in a way that gives decent coverage, tries to limit weakness and offers counters to the Pokemon we think will be heavily selected.

When choosing your team, any combination of the above teams will work, provided you use the above ideas.

Good luck finding your best Great League team!
