We are still one and a half months away from this year’s half, and a good deal of movies and TV series are already out to ease the appetite of the cinephiles. And the remaining of 2022 is going to be even greater with all the amazing shows and films set for release. Interestingly, you don’t have to wait much longer to savor some of the best releases of 2022. This week, that is, from May 16th to May 22nd, a handful of shows and movies are coming out to keep you busy all week. So, if you itch to watch something new, here are the best movies and TV series releasing this week.

Top Releases Set For This Week (May 16th To May 22nd)

1. Who Killed Sara (Season 3)

As the name suggests, Who Killed Sara is a crime, thriller, and mystery show, first aired in March 2021. Till now, 2 seasons of the series are out, and the third is set for its international release. The second season of the series got released just 2 months after the first one ended. The story of the show follows the life of Alex Guzman, a man who spent 18 years in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. After coming out, he is now resolute to find the killers of his sister Sara and get revenge on the Lazcano family. You can watch the first two seasons on Netflix before the release of the third one.

Release Date – May 18th, 2022.

2. Cyber Hell: Exposing An Internet Horror

Korean shows and movies are getting high appreciation from international fans, especially after the release of Squid Game. If you too enjoy watching Korean movies, a good one is coming for you this week. Cyber Hell: Exposing An Internet Horror is a Netflix documentary movie based on a network of online chat rooms running sex crimes. The movie shows the incidents of 2019 which shocked the country with chat room offenses. The officials take every measure to stop the incidents with the help of the victims.

Release Date: May 18th, 2022.

3. Men

Seems like this week is going to be a treasure for horror and thriller genre lovers. Here’s an upcoming horror movie written and directed by Alex Garland. Men received good appreciation from the critics, especially for the performance of the actors. After a tragic incident, Harper Marlowe goes on a trip to England to overcome the tragedy. But something or someone is chasing her which turns into her biggest nightmare. Currently, the movie is getting a cinema release in the US and in the UK after that.

Release Date: May 20th, 2022 in the US, June 1st, 2022 in the UK.

4. Night Sky

Next on the list, we have the science fiction and drama series created by Holden Miller, Night Sky. As it will be the first season of the series, you don’t need to watch any previous seasons. Night Sky is an Amazon Studios original series, so the series will release on Amazon Prime Video. Franklin York and Irene York, a married couple discover a portal in their backyard which opens up to a strange unknown planet. The upcoming show stars Sissy Spacek, J.K Simmons, Chai Hansen, and Adam Bartley.

5. Love, Death + Robots (Season 3)

If you have watched the trailer of this upcoming series, you would agree that it was the weirdest thing you have seen in a long time. But that’s what makes Love, Death + Robots a highly awaited show. This will be the third season of the Netflix original series with the first two seasons released in 2019 and 2021. Love, Death + Robots took inspiration from the 1981 science fiction movie, Heavy Metal. The series consists of short standalone episodes varying from genre to genre depicting the life of robots and much more.
