1. Thor: Love And Thunder
Also known as Thor 4, Love and Thunder is a direct sequel to the 2017 movie Thor: Ragnarok. The movie is directed by Taika Waititi, and the music is given by Michael Giacchino, who is known for his incredible work on several other great projects. After everything that happened in Avengers: Endgame, Thor is living peacefully and trying to find inner peace. But Gorr the Butcher won't let him live peacefully as he is trying to kill the gods, and Thor must stop him. Thor: Love and Thunder will release on July 8th, 2022, in the US.
2. Black Adam
With Dwayne Johnson in the lead role as Black Adam and many other great DC superheroes like Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and more, this is going to be one of the greatest superhero movies of 2022. The original release of the movie was set in December 2021 but was pushed further to October 21st, 2022, due to the pandemic. Forty-five days after its release in cinema, the movie will be available to stream on HBO. The Egyptian gods blessed Black Adam with supernatural powers 5000 years ago but then imprisoned him. Now he is out of his earthly tomb and trying to create havoc on the earth.
3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
The first part of the movie, Black Panther, was one of the biggest successes in Marvel history. Now there's every hope that the second part will even surpass it. After the death of Chadwick Boseman, the makers decided not to recast the role of T'Challa, but other previous characters will return in the new movie. Wakanda Forever is set for a release in the US on November 11th, 2022. The movie's premise is not shared yet, but it will focus on the lives of other Wakanda residents.
4. Batgirl
After Batman, Batgirl is now ready to entertain you this year. Batgirl is a DC Extended Universe movie but is not intended to release in theaters, but on HBO Max instead. The exact release date of the movie is not yet confirmed, but we can expect it somewhere near the year's end. Barbara Gordon, better known as Batgirl, will fight crime just like her partner Batman; nothing else is known about the story of the movie. Other than Leslie Grace as Batgirl, J. K Simmons, Brendan Fraser, Jacob Scipio, and Michael Keaton will join the cast.
5. Shazam! Fury of the Gods
Finally, we have Shazam! Fury of the Gods; another DC masterpiece waiting for its release in 2022. It's the twelfth DCEU movie, directed by David F. Sandberg. Fury of the Gods is a sequel to its first installment, Shazam!, released in 2019. The movie will cast Zachary Levi in the lead role of Shazam. The makers are currently tight-lipped about the story of the movie, so it's hard to say what will happen in the upcoming DC film. As for its release, the movie will be out on December 21st, 2022.
