DC has mapped out a perfect plan to keep you entertained till 2023. These are the best upcoming DC movies you should be looking forward to after Black Adam.

Black Adam’s release is still a while off, but the hype among the DC fans makes it feel like the movie will be out real soon. The new trailer for the movie reveals a sliver of Black Adam’s true powers. It would be great to see how Doctor Fate, Hawkman, Atom Smasher, and other heroes will try to stop the man with endless powers.

While the fans are waiting for Black Adam’s release, DC is working on other great projects to keep the hype train rolling. Some of these projects are completed and just waiting for their release, while others are wrapping up their shoot.

1. DC League of Super-Pets

We don’t get many animated movies from DC, do we? Well, if you are into animated stuff, then we are getting one this year. DC League of Super-Pets is based on a DC comic book that showcases pets as superheroes. The movie is directed by Jared Stern and stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, and more. Krypto the Super-Dog fights crime alongside Superman. But after Superman is kidnapped, Krypto is on a mission to rescue him.

2. Shazam! Fury of the Gods

The development of the sequel movie to Shazam! started soon after its release in 2019. We might have seen the upcoming movie long ago, but the production had to be stopped due to the pandemic. Zachary Levi will return as Shazam, and the other members of the cast include Asher Angel, Jack Dylan, Djimon Hounsou, and Rachel Zegler. The movie’s plot is not yet known, but as it is set for a release this year, we will soon know what new adventures Shazam will have.

3. Batgirl

We have seen enough of Batman this year, and now it’s time for the Batgirl. Leslie Grace is stars as Barbara Gordon, a.k.a Batgirl, here to save the city from the heinous crimes of Firefly, a supervillain who utilizes lightning effects to commit robberies. Alongside Leslie, Michael Keaton will return as Bruce Wayne, J. K Simmons as James Gordon, and Brendan Fraser as Firefly. Currently, the movie is set for a release on HBO Max, but it might move to theatrical release.

4. Blue Beetle

This is the first time we will see DC superhero Blue Beetle on the big screen. So if you are looking for a change and want something more than Superman, Batman, Flash, or Aquaman, then this upcoming movie is for you. Jaime Reyes, better known as Blue Beetle, finds himself with superhero powers after coming in contact with an alien beetle. Raoul Trujillo is cast opposite Jaime as Carapax the Indestructible Man, a DC supervillain.

5. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

With over $1.148 billion box office collection worldwide, Aquaman is the highest-grossing DC movie ever. Now, it is coming back with its second part, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. So it isn’t even a question of if the upcoming movie will be a success or not; rather, we should ask whether it will break its previous record or not. Jason Momoa will return as Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, and Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius.

6. The Flash

Here’s the next upcoming DC movie to watch after Black Adam. The Flash is not just about Flash himself but also about the other DC characters like Batman, Dru-Zod, Faora, and Supergirl, and we have Batman again (from a different timeline.) So, if you enjoy superhero movies with multiple characters appearing instead of focusing on just one hero, then you need to wait for The Flash. The third part of Wonder Woman was greenlit back in January 2019 by the director and co-writer of the movie, Patty Jenkins. She announced that the plot for Wonder Woman 3 was ready. In December 2019, Jenny added that the third part of the movie would take more time to release as compared to the second part after the release of the first one. We don’t have much information about the movie’s premise, but it will take place in the modern world.
