Part of what makes being a gamer during Halloween so special is that players get a bunch of added-on entertainment in most of the online games. Developers usually do a good job at adding some sort of seasonal treat for players. These events do not last for long, but most of the time, they give the players some excellent cosmetics or a great experience.

Plenty of Halloween events have appeared over the years, but here are the ones that have stood out the most. They added a lot of interesting elements to the game, making them worth talking about.

10 Fury Of The Damned -- Sea Of Thieves

Sea Of Thieves Fury Of The Damned

The Fury of the Damned in Sea of Thieves brought in three different challenges that players could do alone or with a team. There were also two world challenges that all players in the game had to complete together. All three challenges gave players favor for this Halloween event. The challenges were all repeatable and allowed players to gain prizes through favor however they wanted.

The rewards are the best part of these challenges as they offer different spider-themed objects like the mug and canon that are some of the creepiest and coolest.

9 Festival of the Lost -- Destiny 2

Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2 is an event that changes every year and adds something special to each of its renditions. Once, it turned a part of the map into a spooky forest, while another time, it offered different haunted zones where players could collect candy and unlock new Halloween-themed gear.

Festival of the Lost has some really lovely cosmetics. Though not the largest, the different haunted zones provide players with cool enemy types like the headless ones, which are alien versions of the Headless Horseman.

8 Autumn Harvest Festival -- Monster Hunter World

The Autumn Harvest Festival in Monster Hunter: World is one of the most beautiful events on this list, as the main area where players pick up their quests is beautifully decorated. The decorations that this game adds go way above the natural decorations most games use, as they completely deck out the area and make sure to include fireworks.

The cosmetics that players can get are also perfect, as they make players look super spooky with different skeleton variations and jack o' lantern armor.

7 The Eternal Blight -- Dead By Daylight

The Eternal Blight event for Dead By Daylight added some cool new skins for some killers and some survivors. The True Blight cosmetic for The Blight and Scorched Ghost Face are some of the most grotesque for players who want to scare opponents with every chase.

The blight mechanic they added in the game also allowed some exciting tech for players to use during the event, which changed the gameplay.

6 Hallow's End -- World of Warcraft

What makes Hallow's End so special in World of Warcraft is the amount of time that is actually put into the event's creation. Each year World of Warcraft makes sure to bring in new pets or mounts and some fascinating costumes. There was one year when the players could get a horse head, and horse butt costume - It was definitely hilarious.

The event also pushes players to travel across the map, as to get the achievements and unlock cool mounts, players will need to trick-or-treat around different areas.

5 Bloody Harvest -- Borderlands 3

Bloody Harvest in Borderlands 3 has several challenges that can be done with ease. The players then unlock a place called The Heck Hole, which has some really cool Halloween-themed gear. The area players explore is not the largest area to have ever existed, but part of what makes it so great is the theme.

The Heck Hole will probably take players 10 minutes to explore, but the different sections are nice to go through and offer sufficient eye candy to players for free.

4 Haunted Hallows Stranger Things -- Rocket League

The Haunted Hallows Stranger Things event in Rocket League turned one of the game's maps into an Upside-down version. There's ash falling from the sky, which gives the map an eerie feel as the players go head-to-head.

The cosmetics that dropped with the pack were really fun, as they made the players' cars look like spiders, giving more Stranger Things vibe.

3 Fight Or Fright -- Apex Legends

The Fight or Fright event in Apex Legends introduced some really cool concepts. They weren't all that big in terms of what they did to the map cosmetically, but a couple of small changes made King's Canyon scary. The change that made the map creepy was the fog and the nighttime. There were also some spectacular skins, the clown skin being the most impressive.

The Shadowfall mode the game introduced was very similar to Warzone's Halloween. If a player dies, they will respawn as shadows that work like ultra-powerful zombies, hunting down players with their extra speed.

2 The Haunting -- Call of Duty: Warzone

The Haunting Call Of Duty Warzone Event

The Haunting event is similar to the event that Call of Duty: Warzone had before 2021. Instead, this game mode has players becoming ghosts instead of becoming zombies. There were also chests that had ghost images pop up on the players' screens and scare them when they least expected it.

The ghost versions of players in the mode are quick. They also have a charged blast, teleport, and charged jump, allowing them to completely overwhelm opponents near each match's end.

1 Halloween Terror -- Overwatch

The Halloween Terror Overwatch Level included some of the coolest Halloween skins in gaming, as well as some fun additions to the game. In total, the 2017 event had a total of 20 different skins available for characters. This ensured that most of the champions had Halloween-themed skins that were unique to themselves.

The addition of the Junkentstien's revenge was also a cool addition to the game as it gave players a new PvE mode, where players had to fight off hordes of enemies.
