Bethesda Comments on The Elder Scrolls V

By Kenneth Richardson

December 13, 2010

It’s been almost five years since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion came out and gamers have waited ever so patiently for details on the next game. Now, Bethesda has come forward with not only confirmation of the next game in their storied franchise but a release date as well. Finally speaking on the game openly, Director Todd Howard quoted:

“It’s exciting finally to announce the game, We’ve been working for many years on Skyrim and the technology behind it. A new Elder Scrolls game has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to show it off.”

As if confirmation alone wouldn’t have sent most fanboys screaming like banshees, they’ve also given us a veritable prize: a release date. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will release globally on November 11th, 2011 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. This game makes the second must have game of 2011 for me, the first being Marvel Vs Capcom 3. How about you?
