While it's only been a few years since we last saw Bethesda's famous post-apocalyptic world with 2015's Fallout 4, fans of the series' rich world and striking FPS-RPG gameplay might be in for an announcement soon, according to its developer on social media.Over on Twitter, Bethesda Game Studios has posted a new teaser image with the simple message to "Please Stand By," though those familiar with the series (like myself) can note that the tease definitely seems tied to the franchise in some way, as the studio did before with the announcement of Fallout 4.Right now, what that announcement exactly is is anyone's guess, whether that is a new installment of the Fallout series or (what I think is more likely) a remaster of either Fallout 3 or New Vegas, especially given that the third game hits its 10th anniversary later this year. However, E3 2018 is just under two weeks away, so clearly it seems like Bethesda may be preparing for some kind of reveal in the very near future, whether that's in the lead-up to E3 or at the expo itself. For now, we'll just have to wait and see what Bethesda Game Studios has in store with its upcoming Fallout announcement, but I'm excited regardless that the studio has something up its sleeve for the series.

UPDATE: Bethesda's official Twitch channel has gone live with an accompanying stream as well that appears to coincide with the upcoming announcement.
