After its recent closure, members from Human Head Studios have joined Roundhouse Studios, a new development studio with Bethesda Softworks.

"Sadly, we had to wind down the business of Human Head Studios and close its doors, which was particularly devastating due to the passion and creativity of the team we'd assembled," says Chris Rhinehart, Creative Director at Roundhouse Studios via a press release. "We reached out to our friends at Bethesda for help, and they saw the same creativity and passion in our team. With the formation of Roundhouse Studios, Bethesda offered every employee of Human Head a position at the new company. We are excited our team will remain together, pursuing the work we love, as part of a company we already know and admire."

Founded in 1997, Human Head Studios was a privately-owned developer in Madison, Wisconsin. They've made titles such as Rune and Rune II, Lost Within, and they were the original developers of Prey. Additionally, they contributed to releases like BioShock Infinite and Batman: Arkham Origins. With the team now being Roundhouse Studios, they'll remain in Madison, Wisconsin.

"While sorry to hear of their challenges as Human Head Studios, we were excited by the opportunity to bring under the Bethesda umbrella this talented, established development team," says Todd Vaughn, Senior Vice President of Development at Bethesda via the press release. "We are delighted that the entire staff will remain together and is now part of the Bethesda family."

With Bethesda's acquisition of Alpha Dog Games last month, Roundhouse Studios is the second development team to join Bethesda in the past month. Both studios join Tango Gameworks, MachineGames, Arkane Studios, Zenimax Online, Id Software, and Bethesda Game Studios as a part of the Bethesda family.

While it's unclear what kind of games Roundhouse Studios will make with Bethesda, we'll be sure to let you know.
