Bethesda will retire its PC launcher in a few months, moving all your owned games and wallet value to Steam!

When it comes to the big publishers such as Activision Blizzard or Epic Games, they rather create a dedicated PC launcher and store for their games than release them on the third-party store. And to be honest, it's all annoying for PC gamers as they have to jump from one launcher to another when they want to play different games.

The problem gets more serious when you find out that some launchers lack essential features. Previously, we have seen it in Epic Games launcher and EA's Origin.

So, it's pretty good to hear that we are getting rid of these launchers one after another. A while back, EA decided to put aside the Origin exclusivity for PC games and brought its titles back into Steam.

Now, Bethesda is doing the same by shutting down its PC launcher and moving everything into Steam!

Bethesda PC Launcher Will Go Offline Forever!

In a recent blog post from Bethesda, the company revealed that Bethesda Launcher will no longer be available as of earlier in April 2022.

This means all your launcher inventory will be transitioned to a Steam account of your choice. Not only you will carry over your games but also all the money in your Bethesda.net Launcher wallet will be transferred to your Steam wallet without losing a penny.

That being said, you will still need your Bethesda.net account to log in to your games. Also, a few games will require manual adjustments to transfer your progression and saves to Steam. More information about this will be shared later.

Obviously, this will not affect console players in any certain way. The exact release date of the data transfer from Bethesda.net to Steam will be revealed in the coming months.
