Bethesda Softworks, who is based in Rockville, Maryland have today announced that they are opening an office in Moscow, Russia. The gigantic publishing company who is better known for games like Fallout 76, The Elder Scrolls, and Wolfenstein, already have global offices in London, Frankfurt, Paris, Eindhoven, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Tokyo so they now can add Moscow to that huge list, too.

The Moscow office will directly manage sales and marketing in Russia with Simeon Chirikov, who previously worked at Wargaming and Electronic Arts, joining Bethesda as managing director.

Sean Brennan, Managing Director at Bethesda Europe said:

“The opening of the office in Moscow is a very exciting moment for Bethesda.  We have an incredible roster of upcoming games including Fallout® 76, The Elder Scrolls®: Blades, RAGE® 2, Wolfenstein®: Cyberpilot™, Wolfenstein®: Youngblood™ and DOOM® Eternal, as well as a number of live titles that continue to perform well including The Elder Scrolls® Online, Quake® Champions, and The Elder Scrolls®: Legends™. Simeon’s extensive knowledge of the Russian and CIS markets will help us to maximize and deliver upon all these titles’ potential.”

Pete Hines, who is Bethesda Softworks’ Senior VP of Communications recently commented on the potential of Fallout 76 crossplay. On Twitter, he stated that:

"Fallout 76 does not support crossplay, for a number of reasons. I have no idea if it ever will. But I assure you it is not on our radar right now as we focus on B.E.T.A. and Launch"
