Bethesda’s “Day of DOOM” Event Bringing YouTubers & Pro Athletes Together for Livestream

With a big slate of upcoming titles scheduled for the year, developer and publisher Bethesda Softworks is taking players to hell this summer with the studio’s revival of DOOM, and to kick off the game’s release, players will get a whole “Day of DOOM” to celebrate.

Bethesda Softworks announced a special event taking place on March 29th, 2016 called “Day of DOOM“, hosted by Rooster Teeth and featuring a “first of its kind” tournament between several popular YouTube personalities and pro athletes.

Specifically, the event will take place in a special livestream and feature a 6v6, single-elimation tournament through YouTube Gaming, and alongside the event viewers will also get to check out “never-before-seen gameplay” from the upcoming DOOM beta.

The “Day of DOOM” event will kick off on March 29th, 2016 at 3pm PDT/6pm EDT – the lineup of the teams and the YouTubers/athletes competing in the event are available to view below:

  • Antonio Brown + Justine Ezarik (iJustine)
  • Thierry Henry + Alia Shelesh (SSSniperWolf)
  • Rob Gronkowski + Michael Jones (Achievement Hunter)
  • Chad “OchoCinco” Johnson + Adam Kovic (Funhaus)
