E3 2018 is somehow already just around the corner which means developers and publishers are likely preparing more and more every day for gaming's biggest show. Recently, we chatted with Bethesda Softworks’ Senior Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines and asked him about E3 2018 and what we might expect from Bethesda at the show.

During our conversation, we made light of the fact that Bethesda currently doesn't have much planned for the latter half of this year. After he jokingly played coy and acted like he didn't already know this, we asked when we might hear more about what they could have slated to release this year. He told us:

"I couldn’t give you any guesses as to what we’re going to announce and when those games will be out. But I will say, we have a lot of new stuff to talk about at E3. Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited.

I think we have a lot of stuff that folks are going to like. To my earlier comment, it’s going to be a big mix of stuff that’s all over the place. It’s not going to be like all [one] kind of game or genre. It’s going to be a lot of stuff in a lot of different areas and hopefully, there’s something in there for everybody."

Considering Bethesda's swath of IP, this shouldn't be too surprising. Their catalog of games as a whole is pretty unique from one another in the first place but it's good to hear that this will continue to stay true at E3 this year.

Hines told us a lot of other info during out chat some of which regarded the Nintendo Switch and some other teases regarding the future of Prey. Keep one eye out for our full interview with Hines as it should be up very soon and another eye out in the future for our preview of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on Switch
