Despite being first revealed just about 18 months ago during E3 2017, development on Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in the very early stages. That development might have just been sped up just a bit however, with the development team working on the game now growing.

During today's Space Monkey livestream detailing the development progress of Beyond Good and Evil 2, it was announced that a new Ubisoft studio has joined the larger team that is creating the project. Ubisoft Blue Byte has now joined Ubisoft Montpellier, Ubisoft, Barcelona, Ubisoft Sofia, and Ubisoft Bordeaux as the teams that are collaborating on the development of BG&E 2. While Blue Byte isn't one of the largest studios that Ubisoft owns, it is one that is growing and will surely continue to help with this game's development.

Even though there are now five studios in total working on Beyond Good and Evil 2, the game still seems to be quite far away. Not only has no release window for the project been divulged, platforms that the game will release upon have yet to be revealed as well. If I was a betting man, I'd wager that Beyond Good and Evil 2 won't arrive until the next console generation finally lands, but that's just my own conjecture.
