Back at GDC 2019, Epic Games announced that they would help bring much of Quantic Dream's library (Beyond: Two Souls, Heavy Rain, and Detroit: Become Human) to PC via the Epic Game Store. At the time, they said the studio's games would live exclusively on their storefront for a year's time. It appears the long wait for immersing yourself in weird, Willem Dafoe-soaking mystery is about to be over. Beyond: Two Souls recently had a Steam listing appear on the site, seemingly confirming that the trio of games is coming soon to Valve's service.

Of course, this is far from an official announcement. So, please take it with a grain of salt. However, the optics are perfectly aligned for Quantic Dream to announce something in the next few weeks. In fact, the original PC announcement hit on May 16 last year before the game launched on July 22. This year, May 16 is this coming Saturday, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get an official announcement this Friday on May 15. That said, Quantic could easily hold off from one of the bigger events coming in the next few weeks to give the announcement some extra hype.

Personally, it would be tough to call Beyond: Two Souls a great game. However, like most of Quantic Dream's catalog, it's a game worth playing to see some of their wild ideas of how to tell a story in video games. They don't always get it right, but their ambition always seems incredibly high. Even if they fail to meet that ambition, it's always fun to watch them try.

Beyond: Two Souls is currently available on PC (via the Epic Game Store), PS3, and PS4. Presumably, we'll have an announcement about a Steam release sometime before the end of July.
