Big Fat Alien's BEEP Looks Simply Fantastic

Developer Big Fat Alien is about as independent as you could be; founded by former BioWare employee Kiaran Ritchie, the dev just came out with their first game, BEEP, and while it definitely looks like a product of a small dev crew, it nonetheless looks like mad fun. The emphasis is less on graphics and more on gameplay, as the backgrounds and art are simplistic and functional, almost to a fault. Still, the 2D shooter-platformer looks like a crazy amount of fun. Hit the jump for a gameplay trailer for the proof.

The best part is BEEP’s only $9.99 on Steam. I’ve heard good things about the game so far, so I’m most definitely going to check it out. That means you should as well.

Allen Park

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
