Today, Bigben Interactive announced the acquisition of the rights to the Test Drive brand (a series of 11 titles that spanned from 1987 to 2012) from the Atari Group. Further, Bigben announced that it plans to develop new titles in Test Drive Unlimited franchise.

While, Bigben owns the brand going forward, Atari has retained the rights to sell all previously released games in the franchise.

Alain Falc, CEO of Bigben Interactive acccompanied the announcement with the following statement:

"We are more than confident with respect to the quality of this franchise, which is loved by so many players. Our teams are very enthusiastic at the idea of being able to work on this license, which has already proven its worth - the game Test Drive Unlimited 2 sold 1.8 million units."

The acquisition broadens Bigben's catalogue, which now consists of WRC, TT Isle of Man, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, Outcast, 2Dark, and Test Drive.
