The Binding of Isaac developer Edmund McMillen and programmer Tyler Glaiel are in the process of creating a new game.

Mcmillen said in a post that detailed their latest fan mods for The Binding of Isaac that they have been working on a new game for the past few months:

"On a side note not many of you know this but Tyler and I have been in crunch mode for the past 3 months trying to finish this secret project."

"It's hard, it's weird, it's personal, it has amazing controls, it's a totally new unannounced IP and it's easily one of the largest games I've ever made level wise."

"We are coming close to announcing it and its release date, so keep and eye out for it."

McMillen has been seemingly locked in a dungeon working on updates and expansions for The Binding of IsaacAfterbirth+ was recently released on the Nintendo Switch and his post details the addition of new items into the game that were created by fans.

The teased game is likely separate from the already revealed Øuroboros and The Legend of Bum-bo.

Personally, the gameplay and Twitch viewing experience that Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac have provided have been hilariously entertaining. The announcement alone has peaked my interest and if this new game is anything like what they've made in the past, consider me bound to get it.
