The first time that I played Bionic Commando, I was about six or seven years old. I remember that I was being babysat by a family friend and they owned it for their NES. The first installment of the series was in 1987 as an arcade game, it was the following year when I stumbled upon Ladd Spencer (who later became Nathan Spencer) and his grappling hook of “RAD.” Since then, there has been a few games for Game Boy and Rearmed, an HD remake of the original NES version that was made available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows. You may have have seen a beefed-up version of Bionic Commando back in 2009 that was as a direct sequel to the classic, which set itself aside from the rest of the series by going from a 2D side-scroller to a 3D open world.
On February 1st and 2nd, Capcom will be releasing Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Rearmed 2 will be available on PlayStation Network for $14.99 and on Xbox LIVE for 12 MS Points.
Take at look at these sweet screenshots after the break that show Nathan “RAD” Spencer at his best.
